Baby Shark

During my week off with the kids we visited the Hunstanton Sea Life Centre to see their new arrivals, baby sharks!

If you have been listening to my show you'll know the Brown Bamboo Shark has been creating quite a stir by laying some eggs. These eggs are kept safe in what's known as a "Mermaid's Purse".

To add to the excitement the shark has laid more than one egg, one had hatched three days prior to our visit and was about six inches long, as for the others it still unsure if they are fertalised, that is apart from the one in my video below. What you are about to watch is an unborn shark, resembling a tadpole, growing inside the pouch wiggling away almost as if it was trying to escape from the embryo.
