Blogs > Tim Lewis Tim LewisTim Lewis I'm in the paper10th February 2013 Being featured in the Lynn News is a regular occurrence for Adam but I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve been in there: my fire walk, Sony award, opening a new youth centre in Terrington St Clement, taking Adam off air – erm that’s about it. But now thanks to the KL.FM “off air” column you can read all about Adam, Si and I each week. We’re taking it in turns to write it, I caught Simon taking the mick out of my first attempt a couple of days ago.

Next week Si will tell you more about his house move. Pick up a copy of Tuesdays Lynn News to read all about it. Posted by Tim at 7:56pm Hello again2nd February 2013 Hello stranger, how are you? It's been a while since I've posted in my blog but I will now make a solemn promise to post here more often. January was a busy and fun month for all of us at KL.FM, this included two weeks of very early starts for me, Adam Newstead wasn’t calling a sickie but he did need a hand when the snow descended on West Norfolk & Wisbech. I was updating the website and school closures behind the scenes. Also there was the small matter of giving away £1K on the £1000 Minute Live Challenge. Our engineer Rob did a great job setting everything up at the Bandstand in the Vancouver Quarter at 7am in the morning. Adam broadcast live from 8am, with me back in the warmth of the studio. By the time it got to 1pm we were desperate for someone to win the cash, particularly as it was snowing. Luckily Suzy stepped up, got all ten questions correct and won the money. Also last month I had two very good reasons to put my smart suit on: The KL.FM Young Hero Awards – Pictures are in the gallery here: http://www.klfm967.co.uk/gallery/-/young-hero-awards-2013/ And the third annual KL.FM Sports Awards, read all about that here: http://www.klfm967.co.uk/news/klfm-news/881770/klfm-west-norfolk-sport-awards-winners/ We’ve got a lot to look forward to in February, in particular I can’t wait to take the show on the road. Adam, Si and I will pack up the studio and broadcast from different towns across West Norfolk and Wisbech every day. More details about that soon. Posted by Tim at 9:40am Rush hour?6th August 2012 I'm covering Si's Home Time for a second week. The roads seem quiet on the way in to work in the morning but my question is, why are they still so busy in the afternoon. Children aren't at school at the moment and I think a lot of people, like Si, have booked time off work to look after them or sit glued to all the action at the Olympics. So why, oh why, is the Gaywood Road in Lynn always so slow in the afternoon. Alice from Gayton asked me the question today, do you know why?
Posted by Tim at 4:42pm Celebrating Wiggins gold2nd August 2012 Bradley Wiggins was the first British winner of the Tour de France two weeks ago and is now our most decorated British Olympian of all time with seven medals in total. To celebrate the legend I decided to get on my bike and cycle in to work this morning. I even gave myself some, rather dodgy, sideburns too. Sadly I could only find grey ones!
Posted by Tim at 4:39pm Cute kittens1st August 2012 I've seen some fun kittens who are currently looking for homes. You'll find them at the West Norfolk RSPCA rehoming centre and they're ready to go home with you today. I would consider them but I don't think my two cats would be impressed, even if they are super cute! Have a look for yourself: Posted by Tim at 2:58pm |
