Come and learn to Jive with Jive Survivors. We are a self run group of local people who just love to Jive.
Modern Jive classes are a great way to learn to dance, keep fit and meet new people.
Most evenings begin with a beginners class, where everyone either learns new jive moves or helps those who have been before to consolidate the moves. This is followed by a freestyle session. A bit later, we normally have an intermediate class where slightly more advanced jive moves are taught, and the evening ends with another freestyle session. New members are always welcome to join us, so don’t be afraid to come along and give it a go. You do not need to bring a partner and if you are a beginner, you will find that the more experienced dancers are more than happy to help you out. You do not need to book beforehand, just come along and give it a go.Each Sunday evening session costs just £5, and bar facilities are available, though you’ll need lots of water! which is provided free!

Coro Stellante is a choir of ladies’ voices who meet in the King’s Lynn area to attend workshops and give concerts. Most of our singers are local, but some come from as far as Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard and Hatfield to sing with our Music Director Michael Kibblewhite and pianist John Byron. Michael travels the furthest as he lives in the Abruzzo region of Italy.
Our concert on Sunday 5th February takes place in Downham Methodist Church at 7:00pm. A concert of contrasts, it is titled ‘Come to the Music’ and includes contemporary pieces: Sure on this Shining Light, Las Amarillas, Kungala; sacred classics : Ave Maria, Laudate Pueri, Beati Quorum Via and some Coro Stellante favourites: Shenandoah, Autumn Leaves, Beat Me Daddy.
Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions) and are available from tickets@corostellante.org.uk, 01553 810116, or on the door. For more information please visit our website www.corostellante.org.uk
