The East Anglian Air Ambulance is a 365-day helicopter emergency medical service covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
We do not receive any direct Government or National Lottery funding and the £6 million we need to raise every year comes directly from charity donations.
A major source of our funding is our own lottery which costs just £1 each week and has a guaranteed jackpot of £1,000, an accumulator prize and 17 smaller cash prizes.
The charity has grown considerably since its early days when it had just one helicopter flying one day a week. Now we have our two distinctive yellow helicopters, Anglia One based at Norwich Airport and Anglia Two at Cambridge, both crewed by a doctor and critical care paramedic, and we plan to start night-flying soon.
Supporters sometimes confuse us with other organisations and charities operating in this region but there is only one East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) charity.
