2620 (County of Norfolk) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force Regiment

2620 Squadron is an RAF Reserve unit based at RAF Marham (near King's Lynn), the largest fast-jet Station in the RAF. The role of 2620 Squadron is to train Reservists to become RAF Regiment Gunners who are the ground fighting force of the RAF, providing Ground Defence of UK air assets at home and abroad.

The Squadron is made up of personnel recruited from the local area, who give up their spare time to train on Wednesday evenings and one weekend per month. No previous military experience is needed as full training is provided together with opportunities to take part in other activities such as Adventure Training and Battlefield Tours.

In return, as well as pay and a travelling allowance, all personnel are eligible for an annual tax-free bonus of up to £1,500.
