This was my first experience of paintballing – and not knowing what to expect was just as nerve racking as the thought of getting shot. In my head I envisaged running through woodland in combat gear like Rambo, darting and weaving to avoid being splattered – to avoid ‘dying’. It seems that what I’d imagined came true!

After a brief induction and safety advice, our combat gear was on, our guns were loaded and then it hit me (not a paintball) - why am I doing this? What am I doing? A friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere really helped and made me feel part of the team straight away. The staff helped with masks and equipment and they encouraged and instructed during a game.

Sorry ladies, but being female, nerves and adrenalin told my brain to stay put in hiding behind a large barricade at the back of the course... but to enjoy the experience to its full potential and to be a ‘worthy’ team player the only aim for the game is to go for it.

Admittedly, in my first game I lasted a whole 30 seconds (dope!) – my excuse (a valid one may I add) - I was finding my bearings and getting over the fact that I experienced my first hit of a paintball. I thought I would squeal like a pig – but I laughed. I was out of the game but buzzing and so excited, that I wanted to play more. As a total novice, I didn’t think it would be possible for me to get so engrossed in tactics and the desire to win.

It’s simple; when you get shot you’re out! But with each game lasting 15 minutes, it’s not long before you are back in it. You can have a hot drink between each game too - which gives you a quick boost for the next game. Quick warning though, paintballing IS addictive! (It’s quite a good stress relief too!) Each game has a different objective from protecting a fort, to stealing your enemy flag...and it’s all in the middle of the woods.

You will be issued with the latest and best equipment including clean and fresh camouflage paintball overalls, padded ambush hoods, battlepacks and ball pots, protective full face goggle system, free use of anti fog spray or paste and some of the latest and most reliable semi-automatic paintball markers available like Inferno`s, BT4 Combats, Tippmann 98 Custom`s and PMI Piranha GTI`s.

Warzone Paintball is a site based close to the village of Oxborough between Downham Market and Swaffam just off the A134 Stoke Ferry by-pass.

We are set in over 20 acres of varied woodland with some of the biggest and most unique game zones around.
