EXCLUSIVE: Shopping Centre Plans for King's Lynn Post Office
4:46pm 5th June 2013
The former Post Office in the centre of King's Lynn turned into a boutique shopping mall.
KLFM News has been talking to the Architect who's been given the job of coming up with designs for the inside of the building that's been shut up since 2007: Liam Russel.
"We rather proudly imagine that walking into the entrance would be like walking into something you'd see in Millan. With a double hieght retail space, a really lovely use of the existing building that would give a really modern and yet classic feel to the space. You would see through to the retail space beyond - perhaps there would be cafes in there and other retail spaces."
The plans will be put on show out side the Post Office on Friday as the people who own the building want feedback on the plans now, before they go in for planning permission.
It's also great news for anyone who wants to run their own shop, selling things they make.
"We are looking for people who are genuinely serious about offering bespoke retail products but up till this point have lacked the retail space so they can do it affordably."
