Latest on Hillington Square
The man leading the multi-million pound revamp of Hillington Square, met people from the Estate for the first time last night.
Wayne Hemingway, the Red or Dead fashion designer, was back in Lynn last night (Tuesday).
And it was his first chance to see what people living on Hillington Square actually think of his ideas to transform the estate.
Most seeemed to be cautiously optimistic.
Wayne, and Freebridge who're funding the project, are keen to point out that they haven't got a blueprint already stashed away.
They want the whole community - from architects to Artists, police to people living on the square to have their say.
The one common theme seemed to be about changing attitudes rather than buildings.
Wayne's always said that it's something that needs the involve the whole community and designers riding in on white horses can't change attitudes. He's still keen for anyone who want's to help to get in touch - contact Jacqueline Fry on hillingtonsq@freebridge.org.uk.
