Snow Disruption: Road, Rail And Air Latest

News > UK News

Transport across southern England is being disrupted by the wintry weather, with airports particularly badly affected.

Rail

c2c: There are currently no train service problems.

First Great Western: There is a line problem between London Paddington and Hayes & Harlington. There are currently no train cancellations reported.

Greater Anglia (formerly National Express East Anglia): Delays on all lines but no cancellations currently being reported. Cambridge to Stratford trains delayed.

Heathrow Connect: Reduced timetable. Services are departing every two hours.

London Midland: Minor delays. Trains that normally terminate at / start from Tring are only running between London Euston and Hemel Hempstead, due to overhead wire problems near Berkhamsted. Following damage to the overhead power lines near Hemel Hempstead - and poor weather preventing repairs taking place - Network Rail engineers require the line to be closed south of Milton Keynes from 10pm Sunday to 5am Monday.

Southeastern: Trains through Ashford International may be delayed by up to 45 minutes. Lines are blocked between St Pancras International and Stratford International due to a broken down train, causing more delays. The problem is being assessed. There are plans to run a normal train service on Monday - weather permitting, but cancellations and delays are likely.

Southern: Minor delays on several routes. Alterations and cancellations on London Victoria to Littlehampton/Portsmouth service. Hastings and Ashford rail replacement buses cancelled. Passengers can use alternative operators: First Capital Connect, Southeastern, South West Trains, London Underground, Tramlink. Buses replacing trains between Horsham and Littlehampton.

Stansted Express: Services currently running with delays.

Virgin Trains: Amended service due to train derailing at Bletchley on Friday.
