30th June 2012
I took my children or should I say "Linnet's mascots" to the Walks in King's Lynn for the unveiling of the new 2012/2013 kits. It was a great day at the football club as the whole place was open to the public, my kids thought it was hilarious that the players showered together and my boy really enjoyed the inflatable football pitch below.

Today I was joined by Foster, Declan, Callum, Fraiser, Owen and Oliver from KES in King's Lynn because out of 600 pupils they won a school music project to produce, record and design all the art work for a pop song! Part of the prize was to be interviewed by KL.FM and have the winning song played on the radio. I'm awaiting the song but you can hear the interview below.
Well done guys!

No School for most children today in West Norfolk, it was a teacher training day and the Norfolk Show was chosen as a good day to have it on so parents could visit the event. However not everyone did, some struggled for childcare, some took the day off work and some took their children to work, which is what I did.
Jake and Holly came to KL.FM to present my show and they were very well behaved, in fact I think they were pretty good on the radio, but then I would say that being a very proud Dad. If you missed Mini me and Mini Mummy co-presenting my show some of our links and a picture can be found on this page.

My alarm woke me at 6am this morning which was a massive shock to my system; however I jumped out of my pit as I needed to attend BNI at the Ramada Hotel with a collection of local business people. The idea of BNI is a superb way to network and get referrals for your business which hopefully will lead to more money for the individual. Thanks for listening to me talk about KLFM and my show.
After that I joined around 100 children at the King's Lynn Art's Centre to open 'Pride in our Schools' which runs until 30th June. This is a fantastic free exhibition of life-sized Lion Sculptures all designed and decorated by the boys & girls from Ashwicken Primary, Churchill Park, Fairsted Primary & Nursery, Flitcham Primary, Gayton Primary, Gaywood Primary, Holly Meadows Primary, Sandringham & west Newton Primary, Spring High Academy and St Marthas Primary.
After all that, my day took an even weirder turn as Adam Newstead and I ventured in to the centre of King's Lynn to tell jokes, it is after all "Cheer Up Tuesday!". Adam told the gags I played drums & cymbal. "Boom-Boom-Tish!"
Listen to the children from Fairsted Community Primary below. This song is about their Lion.

I took KLFM's Storm to Wisbech today and met some really great people working hard in the town centre. Apart from interrupting their day I made sure it was worthwhile offering everyone I met some lovely doughnuts.
On arrival back in King's Lynn I played chaperone for our very own Adam Newstead who thought he would make the people in the centre of King's Lynn 'Feel Good'. Everyone loves popping bubble wrap, so he gave them the opportunity to pop him!

I visited the students at Springwood High 6th Form today to talk about a job in the media and how I got mine at KLFM. They were good fun and seemed to enjoy what I had to say. A special "Hello" to Ash who works with me on a Friday who was part of class and also Molly who knows all the words to the 'Colin Dawson Advert" HAHA!
Hear the students in good voice here...

Every month on "Hometime" I visit a different school and spend the morning chatting with the children and recording their "Kidz Cluez". This is usually their favourite joke, like the one below.

Do you remember the kittens that were abandoned in King's Lynn? You can read about them on my blog dated 31st May. All of them have been re-homed by London Road Vets, King's Lynn and Cats Protection, Downham Market.
We were a little excited about England's 1st game in Euro 2012 behind the scenes! The picture below shows the FOUR very important screens you need to present a radio show when the football is on!

Today Super Trooper and I ventured up the A149 to meet the children of Snettisham Primary who were marking 60 years of our Queen with an afternoon full of fun and games.
Not only did they all look great but they also created a special rap for the Queen which they performed for my show on KLFM, if you missed it have a listen beneath the pictures of their amazing outfits.
The 60 Year Rap - Snettisham Primary School 2012
It was Super Trooper & I's very important job to pick the King & Queen from around 150 children who all made such a special effort for their Jubilee Party. Eventually we picked Louie Coupland and Kaitlyn Davies who took to their roles after their short ascension to the throne.
Later the Children and I headed out for a very lovely street picnic organised by the friends of Snettisham School.
Thanks for having us!
