SsangyongSingalong

27th March 2017

Onsssangyonge of my fav things ever when the kids where younger was singing loud to the radio on the school run, I knew that hated it, but as I'm sure you'll agree their protests only made it worse.  9 out 10 people sing along to the radio in the car but only 8 out of 10 will admit to it, so if your one of the two that happy to sing at the top of your lungs and don't mind who knows it the Ssangyong Singalong is for you, and it could win you £250 along with a car for the weekend.

Listen tomorrow to find out how the Fleet family got on and register yourself here.

Bumble is on his bike

20th March 2017

On Saturday I took Bumble to the Aldiss of Fakenham to celebrate their 125th Birthday in style.  Not only did they lay on fizz and cake there was also a health option thanks to Bumble spent most of the day on his smoothie bike which is exactly what it sounds like.  He was cycling whilst generating the power needed to make some delicious drinks for shoppers in store.

See bumble on his bike fresh from his performance on ice at the Alive Corn exchange and take a tour of the store too.

Felix and Jim's Guitar

17th March 2017

Meet Felix

FELIX

Felix is seven and attends Terrington St Clement Primary, he's an amazing lad with a heart of gold.  Felix was responsible for placing one of the most moving tributes to Juggling Jim outside Boots and Wimpey.  The memorial has since been vandalised and is now left in ruins, flowers ripped to bits, items stolen and the guitar broken in half.  Unfortunately Felix has seen the act the some mindless idiots have done and as you'd imagine is very upset.

Jim

Felix joined me on the show today to ask the vandals a question.

West Norfolk Mind

2nd March 2017

mind

West Norfolk Mind are an independent local charity. They promote positive mental health and social inclusion within the community and provide a variety of resources for people with a mental health issue, their families and friends.

They aim to support people to build a meaningful life for themselves and inspire hope for recovery, with or without the continuing presence of mental health problems.

It is a specialist mental health charity providing services to local people who have direct or indirect experience of mental distress across West Norfolk. They do this in a variety of ways through both our Support and Recovery services.

The level of support that they provide varies from one person to another. If you have a mental health worker, social worker or CPN talk to them about using your Personal Budget and making a referral to them. Services can also be provided on a self funded basis.

Through their partnership in the Norfolk Wellbeing Service they can offer counselling to anyone over the age of 16 in Norfolk, who recognises that they may benefit from help to improve emotional wellbeing, stress, anxiety or low mood.

Their Carers Support service is open to anyone who is caring for someone with a mental health issue and needs some support themselves. They also run three successful social enterprises which are self funding and help people to experience the day to day workings of a business in a safe and supportive environment.

BusinessMind is their latest project and is their service for businesses. They work with businesses, employers, HR and related staff to maximise wellbeing in the workplace.

They have a coffee and crafting morning every Friday, with further details below:

They particularly focus on young people:

They have spaces available at their Heacham Day Centre on a Wednesday or Thursday. If you are interested in attending, please call 01485 572 707.
