Help Me Help Liam
6th July 2012
After the interview aired today, the phones went mad. One of the calls came from Captain Neil Thomas who has very kindly paid for the car seat costing £818!
Here is what happened when we called Liam's Mum
Around three weeks ago I received an e-mail from Amanda Mills. Amanda is in a wheelchair due to difficulty with her pregnancy. Liam and his twin sister, Tia, were born devastatingly early, and sadly Tia didn't survive. Liam is profoundly deaf and only a few months into his early life was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Every day of his life sees him visiting hospital for check-ups and treatments, now that he's four and a big boy, he needs a car seat which is specially adapted for his needs. He also requires a hydrotherapy pool, a trike and a host of other accessories to improve his quality of life.
