Help needed28th January 2013 My wife’s friend was in WH Smith, King's Lynn over the weekend when she was approached by a gentleman with a North East accent who had plucked up the courage to talk to her. He told her he was new to the area and that he was working at Palm Paper. They agreed to exchange numbers but had no pen, so he went to find one. In the meantime the lady chickened out, paid for her items and left the store before he came back. Now she feels a little silly as she thinks it would be nice to go out for coffee with him, she is also upset that she did that to him.
Do you have any idea who he might of been? You can contact me via simon.rowe@klfm967.co.uk

Bitter Rivals - The Sweet Test24th January 2013 Bitter Rivals Today Adam & I went to see the wonderful people at Moleys Sweet Shop on Norfolk Street, they have a fantastic selection of retro and modern sweets but they also had one pack of so called delights that came with a warning! So in a true grown up manor we decided to “suck it and see” for ourselves to find out who could keep the sweet in their mouth the longest. This is not for the squeamish!
Believe me these sweets were really not very nice! Posted by Simon Rowe at 6:06pm

FA Trophy Round 3: King's Lynn 0 vs Southport FC 212th January 2013 Today KL.FM were proud sponsors of the Linnets home game at the Walks in the FA Vase in front off nearly 1500 fans on what was not exactly the warmest afternoon. Despite Southports superior league status in the Blue Square Premiere King's Lynn put on a fantastic performance and can hold their heads high, even after the 2-0 defeat. It may have been different story had it not been for a 'was it or wasn't it over the line' moment in the first half. A bit of goalmouth scramble almost sent the Linnets a goal in front but the referee decided the ball hadn't crossed the line. It was after this high drama that the visitors blasted the ball into the back of net from 27 yards, this was to be the first of two goals for Southport. Their second came via a long ball from defence which found Alex Street off his line. Southport hit the back of an open goal after a very scrappy attempt to keep the scoreline as it was. Due to technical difficulties the following video is Courtesy of Paul Hampson and www.kltown.co.uk - thanks also go to the EDP & Lynn News. But did you see this penalty?
KL.FM MAN OF THE MATCH Congratulations to Stephen Spriggs

Man Jobs8th January 2013 I did my man job at the weekend, the man job where the man takes the wife's car to the garage to check the tyre pressure. My other "Man Job" is taking out the rubbish, but what are the jobs at your house that only the man does? Here are some your tweets n texts. @MarieConnell1: we call them Pink Jobs and Blue Jobs. Blue Job is to cut the lawn. Pink job is to weed the flowerbeds! @RawnsleyJR: tyre pressure, oil level, windscreen wash. Spider/moth/fly duty. Tea lady, midnight snack cook, dog walker. #manjobs #i'maslave @RobertShippey: hoovering? Men secretly love hovering. @lilywelli: I'm a girl, and It's a fair division of work in our household, but I am on permanent spider/bug duties. #manjob #manjobsforgirls @spaldingpie: tell the kids to load the dishwasher #manjob Posted by Simon Rowe at 7:19pm

Every scar tells a story7th January 2013 If you have a scar, there will be a story attached to it. I was 26 and got mine playing basketball. After months of trying I finally beat my now brother-in-law at NBA on the Super Nintendo! In my excitement I jumped from the low sitting chair I was in and whacked the bridge of my nose underneath the table, blood was everywhere, much to his amusement! But I won, it didn't matter. Here's some of tweets and texts... Teresa Burrell Hubby has one on head from a fishing hook that had to be taken out. Who said fishing is a gentle sport? RuskinnnnMcphee! I have a scar on my hip. When I was younger about 8 and my brother was threeish we was playing on the slide taking it in turns, and he got angry and bit me. :/ Gill in Marham I have a scar above my left eye. When I was about 6 my brother was playing swing ball and I got a little too close and got whacked with the bat..... Ouch x julie gooch mines about my son's got age five falling up 2 stairs at school and splitting the top of his eye open had 5 stitches Martin Sean Camp Brothers bike had no pedal on it i was 6 & as i walked past the stump went about an inch in to my thigh! too big to stitch up! Emma, Kings Lynn I have 2 little scars on my bum cheek. When I was about 5, my brother and I were play fighting on the sofa, well he pushed me off and I landed on his Dinky toy lorry. It was the sort that you could take the cab part off and the trailer would stand on its own with 2 little pronged. The problem was the trailer was lying with the points facing upwards. :( cheshire cat stapled my finger to a table in year one because I wondered what it would feel like. Karen Goult when I was around 6 years old I was swinging on a gate with my brother, my little finger got trapped and split open. Laura Bradshaw I have a huge scar on my forearm from 2 yrs ago when slipped on the ice & broke my ulna & dislocated my elbow whist pregnant! Teresa Burrell I have a scar round my finger. I leant on the door frame when i was 4, door blew shut and chopped it off. Had it sewn back on :-)
