Throughout the month of December and into January, we all want to celebrate. Christmas and New Year are exciting times, made better by sharing them with friends and family and having a few drinks with them all as well.

But, there are still too many people who think it's OK to get behind the wheel having had a drink. It's not.

Too many people are still killed or seriously injured due to the stupidity of others.

This Christmas and New Year, KL.FM and K Brown Auto Repairs are teaming up to remind our audience DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE.

Ann's Story

She was only 19-years-old when a drunk driver hit and killed her mum in Long Sutton. For the first time ever – Ann is opening up about what happened that day to show the long-term consequences of drink driving. She still lives with the pain to this day and has seen the damage it has done to her family as well. Ann never even got to see her mum again as the crash meant her mum had to have a closed casket funeral.

Norfolk Accident & Rescue Service

Norfolk Accident and Rescue Service are a charity who are called out to the worst medical emergencies in our county. Al is a local volunteer in West Norfolk and took KLFM out during one of his shifts on our roads. Listen as he takes us through the awful consequences that drink driving can lead to.

Norfolk Fire & Rescue

Crews from North Lynn can be the first ones to get to the scene of these crashes. People like Adam have to cut victims and drivers out of the wreckages of cars. Take a look as he takes KLFM through the horrors of what these collisions on our roads involve and why it’s so important not to put lives at risk through this reckless behaviour.

Norfolk Police

KLFM joined Norfolk Police in King’s Lynn to see how they’re targeting drink drivers this Christmas. PC Morris told us about just how drunk some drivers are when they get behind the wheel. Officers will do everything and anything they can to catch those putting lives at risk before they do too much damage.
