About:
CHROMA: premiere tour of 3 commissions in Renaissance and contemporary programme. Touring sacred spaces in Norwich, Cambridge, Berkhamsted and Kings Lynn 23-26 April 2019

CHROMA musicians Clare O’Connell (cello) and Stuart King (clarinet) collaborate with Liam Byrne (viola da gamba) for this programme of Renaissance and contemporary music melded beautifully in a meditative
journey from dark to radiant light.

A deeply moving experience, Awakening seamlessly weaves together music from ancient and modern experimental composers to create a uniquely rich sonic journey. Enhanced by projected visuals, this
performance immerses the audience in a transcendental, transformative world.
Music includes works from Nico Muhly, Pierre de la Rue, Christopher Tye and Maurice Ravel with
three new CHROMA commissions from outstanding composers Freya Waley-Cohen,
Rubens Askenar and David Bruce.
