Norfolk leading ladies shaping the industry

Published at 6:51am 1st November 2017.

More woman are now becoming incredibly successful within businesses.

And a few of our leading ladies are part of a national campaign from the Institute of Directors.

They'll be chatting about gender diversity on boards and the significance of woman as directors, consumers and investors on the 15th November.

Francesca de Lacey, Managing Director of JMS group, will share her admin assistant to MD journey and Karen Thornber, HR Strategist with Chadwicks Ltd will also be speaking.

Simone Robinson, Head of Regional Relationships for IoD East of England says:

"We are pleased that the Norfolk region will be represented by such dynamic and enterprising women at an event that will cover a wide range of topics including the gender pay gap, the importance of leadership, mental health and well-being plus the importance of measuring the social impact of business activities."

As of July 2014, there were no all-male boards in the FTSE 100 and female representation has now increased to 26.1%.

This has resulted in the UK being 5th in Europe when it comes to female board representation.
