Builders Race to Complete the Spinney

Builders working on the Spinney in Hunstanton have got 2 weeks to get it looking as finished as possible ahead of the Christmas lights switch on.

The Tree was delivered to the site last night - last year it was on the green and ended up being blown about by strong winds.

Elizabeth Watson... Borough councillor for Hunstanston and Mayor of King's Lynn and West Norfolk says the building work was delayed after problems with part of the order for stone. But even though it won't be 100% finished before Christmas, it's going to look fine.

"We decided that the best course of action would be to replace everything as much as we could to make it tidy and nice, and put the Christmas tree up. There will be a special Tree Holder in the Spinney while will liven up the High Street quite a lot I think.

"It's looking great! As soon as you get all the contractors' vehicles out the way and all those red barriers taken down, it'll look fantastic and I don't think anyone is going to be too upset that it's not quite finished for Christmas."
