The family of a West Norfolk police officer has thanked the people who helped to save his life when he had a heart attack at the gym.

Richard Allan collapsed while at the Downham Market Leisure centre, and woke up in Addenbrookes hospital in intensive care two days later.

"I was dead before I hit the floor, and that defibrilator was the only thing that could have saved the day. Without that Defib and those staff... Well my family would have buried me last week."

Richard's family along with the The Mayor and the Leader of the Borough Council have met the staff involved to thank them for their quick thinking, and good training...
