KLFM has learned that the average speed cameras through the roadworks on the A47 have been catching hundreds of drivers.

A 30 mph limit has been put in place through the contraflow system during work on the bridges between the Pullover and Hardwick roundabouts.

Between the 28th of June and the 8th of July 1900 speeding tickets were sent out to people going more than 30.

That's an average of 190 every day.

On twitter people have been telling us that they and their families have been getting the fines in the post. Maria told us about her experience.

"My daughter got 1 cause she didn't understand what average speed was.

"don't think she will go over 30 again :("
