A school coach from the Cambridge area has overturned on the A10 at Hilgay with dozens of children on board.

None of the children or teachers are thought to have been seriously hurt but the driver had to be cut free and is being treated for suspected back injuries.

42 primary school children were on board, as well as five members of staff, one parent helper from the Cambridge area, and the driver.

It's now been confirmed that the coach was one of three traveling north on a day trip from a primary school in the South of Cambridgeshire.

The school has told KLFM's sister station Star Radio in Cambridge that it can't make any comment at this time, but

The road remains closed in both directions with diversions in place at Steels Drove and Bridge Street.

Norfolk Police say they would like to thank residents in Hilgay for their patience as large volumes of traffic divert through their village.
