A man has died over the weekend while taking part in the Round Norfolk Relay

Event organisers say he collapsed near Cley, just past Wells on Saturday.

The race starts at Lynnsport and passes around the coast to Cromer and then to Great Yarmouth.

A statement on the event’s website stated:

“Runner, Darryl Davis sadly passed away after collapsing on his stage run near Cley on Saturday 20 September 2014.  The RNR committee wish to pass on their deepest sympathy to his family, friends and fellow CONAC members.”
