How Should Dereham and Swaffham Grow?

A plan which will dictate how Breckland grows in the future has been launched by the council there.

Breckland cabinet members have agreed on a new document called the "Issues and Options Consultation."

Although the title sounds a bit dull, it could have big implications on how towns like Dereham and Swaffham look in twenty two years time.

The document conntains proposals on how the district should grow, and asks resident how they think growth in the district should be managed.

That includes where they think houses should be built, and where new jobs will come from, not just in towns, but in villages too.

Open consultation events will be held in November and December, as well as people being able to give their views online.
