16 homes had to be evacuated after a fire broke out at a unit with gas canisters on the North Lynn Industrial Estate.

It broke out at around 3pm on Sunday and is thought to have been in a car body repair shop.

Fire Crews from Kings Lynn, Sandringham, Terrington, Massingham, Hunstanton, Downham Market, Fakenham and Wisbech and the aerial ladder platform from Kings Lynn with the Control Unit from Wymondham were called in to Hamburg Way.

Police then decided to evacuate people living in Nuthall Crescent. People living in the Somersby Close and Whisson Close were advised to stay inside and away from the windows.
