Police have said they aren't treating the death of a man close to Dereham yesterday as suspicious.

A body was found in a burning car in a layby shortly before 10.30 in the morning on the B1147 at Etling Green...

It's been confirmed that a man in his 50s from the Dereham area was found inside.

The area remains sealed off at this time.

Police are currently investigating a sudden death in the Dereham area.

Officers were called at 10.25am this morning to reports of a car on fire in a layby off the B1147 at Etling Green. The body of a person was found inside the vehicle but it is not known at this stage whether it is male or female.

The road has been closed and the area sealed off whilst officers assess the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
