Increase in alcohol referrals in King's Lynn

A drug and alcohol recovery centre in King's Lynn say they do have a number of service users over the age of 40, but that's to do with the period of time they've been getting treatment...

It was revealed last week that nationally, more than a third of the total population of adults in treatment centres are aged 40 or over.

Andy Husband is from the Norfolk Recovery Partnership: "The new referrals coming through the door do tend to be more alcohol referrals, which hopefully is due to the kind of messages that the government and GPs are delivering."
