East Winch RSCPA Wildlife centre desperately need your help.

They've been fundraising for 7 years for better facilities.

And they still have many more years to go.

They've put in a planning application for new owl aviaries, which have been at the centre since 1992.

They're organising an open day for 2 years time to hopefully reach their target.

You can help them and providing the plans are approved, the birds will have a new and improved home.

Alison Charles is Manager there and told KL.FM why it is so important:

"Without the aviaries we can't function, because it's the final stage of the birds rehab.

"The majority of the birds are song birds, garden birds and then the owls.

"75% of our animals are birds, so there's a huge number that go through them - it's essential."

She continued:

"The aviaries have just rotted.

"They've done very good service but they're rotting and we think we're going to have a comedy owl go through the wall shortly because they're really decayed.

"The roof is blowing away.

"It's just not right to keep the owls in there so we need to replace them."
