Mourning the loss of the Hunstanton hero.

Sir Henry Bellingham has joined those in the town to pay their respects for David Foulkes.

The much-loved veteran, campaigner and fundraiser sadly passed away on Tuesday (9th Jan).

Henry said:

"I had known David since the early 1980s when he approached me to help publicise one of his fundraising initiatives for the Royal British Legion.

"Since then he has been completely indefatigable, determined and inspirational. Indeed, over the years, he has raised very large sums of money for both veteran causes, and for his local community in Hunstanton.

"A few years ago David was awarded the BEM for exemplary fundraising. At the time, I said that 'I do not believe I have come across a more deserving case'.

"He will be missed by very many people both in his own local community and further away. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family at this difficult time."
