Showing West Norfolk families that help is out there.

For families like Rebecca Fisher's - it can be easy to feel alone and isolated in our rural community.

Her young brother was born with Down Syndrome and since then she's been raising awareness about his condition.

On World Down Syndrome Day (21th March) - King's Lynn Town Hall is lighting up to mark the event.

Rebecca helped organise the first one last year and knows how important this can be.

She started a blog to show more families out there that they're not alone.

Rebecca said:

"I requested the lighting-up of the town hall last year for my little brother, this year it is for everyone, so families from around this area could all meet up and show each other support. My brother is three and was born with Down Syndrome.

"Some people think siblings with Down Syndrome are a burden, but in reality Rory being born has shown me that I love to help raise awareness, and that's why I started my blog. The Down Syndrome Association has been an amazing resource; it helps so many families find much needed information about Down Syndrome."

You can talk to Rebecca about her experiences and find out more from 6pm at the Town Hall.
