It's a generous donation that's really going to help the homeless of West Norfolk.

The King's Lynn Rotary Club has donated £1000 to the Purfleet Trust.

The money will go towards their counselling service in partnership with the One to One Project.

The Purfleet Trust provides help for single homeless people in King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

The One to One Project provides long-term professional support to adults in our county who are experiencing emotional and/or social distress and mental health difficulties.

The two charities were the former mayor, Counsellor Carol Bower's chosen charities, they then decided they could work together.

Charities like these rely heavily on donations.

Hannah Cooper from the One to One Project told KLFM just how important donations are:

"We are completely grant funded and there's always a shortfall every year.

We're really greatful for donations and it's really meaningful that they come from local group because it means that we get an opportunity to raise awareness of what we're doing as well."
