Shocked and extremely disappointed

Mayor of Hunstanton Amanda Bosworth told KLFM:

"Yes, unfortunately this is the second occurrence in recent weeks.

"We are obviously shocked and extremely disappointed at these mindless acts of vandalism in the Community Orchard.

"Several trees have been damaged, one or two completely destroyed, and the fruit thrown at a memorial bench.

Increasing patrols

"All of the trees in the orchard were donated by individuals and local community groups.

"The police are aware and will hopefully be increasing patrols in that area.

"We would also ask anyone who witnesses anything unusual to report the matter to the police by calling 101."
