25 years of helping the most vulnerable in King's Lynn.

This week sees the Purfleet Trust's special anniversary.

They've been supporting homeless and rough sleepers in our county for decades.

Dirty and starving

Kerry Smith is the Health and Welling Coordinator at Purfleet.

She told KLFM about the special moments that she's seen at the charity:

"I saw this bloke come in and he was dirty and starving.

"But a shower and a bit of food makes so much of a difference to them.

"We just talk to them like they're humans."

That's everything

"The best bit is when people come in and they have nothing - they just want to end it.

"Then you start talking to them bit by bit and winning their trust.

"Once you've done that - that's everything.

The Purfleet Trust began in 1993 to help single homeless people in King's Lynn and West Norfolk.

Since then - it has seen the demand for its services rise as more people struggle to cope.

All week KLFM will bring you more stories from the charity to highlight their 25th Anniversary.
