It was time for Marham to remember.

School children, the Marham Military Wives Choir and veterans all came together last night.

The RAF base's Chaplaincy team held a special Remembrance event at Cherry Tree Academy.

It's part of the work being done to mark the upcoming historic Remembrance Sunday.

It will a hundred years since the end of the First World War.

Ceremonies will be held across West Norfolk as we pay tribute to all those who have given their lives while serving on Sunday (11th Nov).

The Poppy Girls also performed at the special event

RAF Wing Commander The Reverend Paul Mellor told KLFM:

"It's quite moving seeing the school children up there because you're passing on that memory and inheritance we have.

"There's also the debt we owe to these people and then you can see how the children handle that.

"It had a devastating affect - especially those PALS brigades - on so many West Norfolk families, which is why we hope to learn from this."
