The only way Ron wanted to spend his big 80th birthday in King's Lynn.

After 12 years of treatment at the QE - Ron Adams showed their support for the hospital on his special day.

Ron's family and friends donated £570 to the Urology Department instead of getting the birthday boy a present.

Queen Elizabeth Hospital


Ron said:

"These ladies who have looked after me over the years have been great, the care given has been excellent.

"I just wanted to give something back to the unit for all of the help and support."

Uro-Oncology Nurse Specialist Nurse Sally Edwards said:

"We would like to thank Ron for his generous donation and continued support of the unit."
