It makes a world of difference to them.

The staff at the Fridhem Rest Home in Heacham love making sure their residents are entertained.

From days out to in house entertainers it really gives residents something to look forward to.

We spoke to Diane Britton who's the activities organiser at the home.

She explained why keeping the residents entertained is so important:

"I don't think that anyone would want to be sitting in 24/7 for a whole year and not go anywhere.

For us to think that that is their basic need as much as being fed, washed, dressed whatever, that need to be entertained and to have contact with people and go out.

We have one lady who's just happy to go out and wave and people when you're walking and say hello to everyone.

It is vital for them.

Just like we would look forward to going to the theatre anywhere else they look forward to it coming to them, meeting the new people and just having that general sing along and happy time.

It does bring them out of themselves."

But in order to keep the fun going the home needs to raise some money.

They're holding a red and black ball next month (8th Feb).

All Money raised will go to our resident's entertainment fund.
