Stopping blood sport near Swaffham

car stopped by norfolk police

Trying to stop this blood sport near Swaffham.

Breckland Police reported three men and seized a van on suspicion of hare coursing.

Officers were carrying out patrols around the town last night (9th Jan) when they pulled the vehicle over.

What is hare coursing?

The blood sport involves setting greyhounds loose on hares during hunts.

The dogs see their prey and chase them down using sight rather than scent which is used in fox hunting.

Norfolk Police say they're working closely with local farmers to catch more criminals carrying out this offence in our county.
