Man charged with knifepoint robberies appearing in court

A King's Lynn man charged with two knifepoint robberies is appearing in court today (11th Feb).

A woman was threatened during a robbery at JD Sports in the town last month.

Then a car was stolen in Downham Market.

The first incident happened at 9:55am on 10th January at the sports shop.

A man walked into the store, threatened staff and then stole trainers, gloves and clothing.

After that Norfolk Police were called to Lynn Road in Downham where a man was robbed at knifepoint at the Jet petrol station.

20-year-old Daniel York from London Road has been charged with two counts of robbery, one count of possession of a bladed article, one count of driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
