Trying to scam Norfolk residents on Valentine's Day

Published by Chris Craddock at 6:01am 17th February 2019.

Going around trying to scam people in Terrington St John on Valentine's Day (14th Feb).

There was no love for this rogue trader who claimed he was working in the area.

He told one resident their chimney was in danger of collapse and he could fix it for £1,200.

Thankfully the victim did not take up the offer of help.

Norfolk Police say there is little doubt the rogue trader would have over charged for any work done.

Officers say we should always visit the Trusted Trader Site on Norfolk County Council's website if you need work like this.

We should never take up the offer from any cold callers.
