Can you be-leaf they stole these? 

Two men from Wisbech have charged with theft after a large quantity of snowdrop bulbs were stolen from the Walsingham area last night.

Another man was cautioned. 

 

An update from police (11:30am) 

Police investigating the theft of snowdrops in Walsingham have now charged three people.

Officers stopped a car on the A148 at Little Walsingham at around 2am on yesterday (13th March) and found a large number of the bulbs. 

They believe they were stolen from the grounds of Walsingham Abbey.

 

Three men have been charged with theft and criminal damage:

  • 30 year old Peter Gibbs of Colvile Road in Newton-in-the-Isle in Cambridgeshire;
  • 22 year old Louis Stoker of Walton Road in East Winch;
  • 30 year old Stefan Simpson of Lilac Close in Wisbech.

All three have been released on police bail to appear before King’s Lynn Magistrates Court on Monday 25th March.
