Why the Spring Clean could slow you down in West Norfolk today (15th April).

£10 million worth of repairs are starting.

They're underway in Walpole and Walpole Cross Keys.

A 20mph restiction will go up along the routes during the work and on the freshly resurfaced roads.

The new seal will be placed on 310 miles of Norfolk's roads in total.

It's to improve the life of the road and to reduce the risk of accidents.

Nick Tupper, Assistant Director for Highways, said:

"This is a really important part of the work we do to maintain our vital infrastructure so this year we will be spending £10.3m on surface dressing.

"Our teams do this work between April and September every year while the weather is warmer, and we always aim to get the holiday areas and main roads treated first so they are complete before the start of the busy summer season."
