Abandoned at a bus stop in Wisbech

They don't know who left them at a bus stop.

Thankfully these three little kittens are now in the care of Cat Welfare Wisbech.

Volunteer Alyson is caring for little Forest and his two sisters and KLFM paid them a visit.

Alyson says there's no excuse to abandon an animal:

"There is no reason to need to dump your animals.

Cats, kittens, puppies, it doesn't matter you don't need to dump them.

I wish they would just contact us though.

We're not as judgemental as people might think we are.

We'd far rather they came to us then just abandon them.

It doesn't take much to pick up the phone."

The all black kitten trio is made up of little boy Forrest (after Forrest Gump) and his two sisters who haven't been named yet.

Forrest appears to have some neurological problems which may have been caused by trauma.

His front legs are quite weak but even with just a few days of proper care, he's already walking better.

Alyson estimates the kittens are around five weeks old.

She said they should really be with their mum:

"She's got a lot to teach them.

But without her, the next best thing is that they're kept together as siblings until they're old enough to go their separate ways.

We're concerned about the mum, because if the people who didn't want these kittens, if they don't get the mum neutered she'll have more and then they won't want those kittens."

All three of kittens having gunky eyes and bellies full of worms but they should make a good recovery.

In a few weeks, they'll be ready to find new homes.

Alyson said finding homes for all black cats can be hard, as people tend to choose more 'interesting' colours or fur patterns.

But we don't think these little ones will have any trouble.
