They work so hard to keep this green space in King's Lynn beautiful.

So you can imagine the frustration when someone took a hedge which Harding's Pits Community Association had just planted.

They give up their free time to maintain the natural wildlife.

Chair Rob Archer told KLFM that volunteers were hurt when they saw the damage:

"It just saddens me that someone is prepared to spend that much time to steal something that is from is a voluntary organisation.

"I just think it is very sad."

"It is disheartening but on the whole Harding's Pit is a beautiful place to be.

"So it just strengthens our resolve to keep going."

The Association is now appealing for anyone who has been offered a cheap hedge to call Norfolk Police - especially if the seller won't say where the hedge came from.

You can get involved with the voluntary group during their next clean up on 8th June.

You can also find out more about the work they do on their website.
