He may have half a heart but this little King's Lynn baby is a full on fighter.

Becky Russell's boy Charlie has been so strong since his first operation.

He was taken to Great Ormond Street Hospital following complications during his birth.

After the successful open heart surgery - Charlie then needed to put on weight before he could have another operation.

So his family were given training to care for him back at home.

But the little Linnet has been proving he's a strong lad and is ready for his second surgery.

Becky told KLFM the nerves are coming back as Charlie gets ready to go under the knife again:

"I think it is going to be more difficult to watch him because we've had him home, we've bonded with him and he knows you.

"But I have confidence in the hospital now that maybe I didn't have before so it's about getting through that long day.

"Staff were so good to give us the training.

"We did become comfortable with what we had to do but not necessarily comfortable with still accepting with what he had.

"But the focus has been on getting him to the weight he needs for the next operation."

Friends of the family are raising money to support them during this tough time.
