Man airlifted to hospital after two lorry crash on A148

A man has been airlifted to hospital after a two lorry crash on the A148.

He had to be cut free from the collision near Fakenham this afternoon (17th June).

Emergency services were called to the scene after 2pm.

East of England Ambulance Service confirmed one man was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by air ambulance for further treatment.

Norfolk Police described his condition as serious but not life-threatening at this moment.

Meanwhile Norfolk Fire and Rescue have released this update:

"Appliances from Fakenham, Holt and Kings Lynn attended a road traffic collision on the A148.

"Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate one casualty, who was handed into the care of the Ambulance Service."

The road has been shut and diversions are in place.
