A controlled explosion has been carried out at Thornham Marshes.

The Hunstanton Coastguard were called out at 12:16pm yesterday (13th August) to assist EOD (explosive ordnance disposal).

The ordnance was first discovered on Monday afternoon(12th Aug) but as it was high tide the area was inaccessible.

The Coastguard guided EOD through the Marshes to the location of the ordnance.

EOD then carried out a controlled explosion.
