Helping this little Swaffham fighter get through her treatment.

2 year old Esme has been battling brain cancer for the last year.

The community has come together to support her family and £3879.13 was raised at a mega fund day last week.

Hundreds of people turned up to Swaffham Rugby club last Sunday (18th August) to show their support and raise money for the family.

Esme was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year and is now halfway through her chemo.

All Esme wanted to do was run around and play with everything the day had to offer.

The money raised helps to take the financial pressure off the family as they look after Esme through her treatment, as well as her siblings.

Esme's mum, Wendy, said she was overwhelmed with the support:

"The effort that's gone into things - just listening to the choir literally made me cry and Eastern Gymnastics just did the most beautiful display. It's so nice that her sisters got to be in it as well.

The choir even sang songs from Moana, one of Esme's favourite films

It was absolutely lovely because that's one of the films that got her through the beginning bit of surgery and the start of her treatment so it's lovely that they've remembered it was important to her.

You can continue to donate to Esme's family on their Go Fund Me page.
