Man charged for incident at Tennyson Avenue this week

A man appeared in Norwich Magistrate's Court this morning after they were arrested on Tennyson Avenue on Wednesday (21 August).

Leon Ogunleye of Recorder Road, London, was charged with a number of offences.

The 23 year old and a 16 year old, were arrested and Class A drugs, money and a knife were seized from them.


Here's the list of offences and how he pleaded:

  • Possession of cocaine - not guilty
  • Possession of diamorphine - not guilty
  • Assault of an emergency worker X2 - not guilty
  • Possession of a lock knife in public - not guilty
  • Possession of cannabis - no plea given

He has requested a trial by Jury and will appear in Norwich Crown Court on the 20th of September.

A 16 year old was released under investigation while enquiries continue.
