Protesters are taking to the streets of King's Lynn today.

It's all about the situation going on in Parliament about Brexit.

The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has decided to suspend Parliament. This basically means that there will be a short break in Parliament. It has been suggested by his opposition that it's so no one can stop him going for a No Deal Brexit.

The protesters are saying that whether you voted leave or remain, the fact is a debate is still needed on the final deal.

You can hear cries of "No one voted for Boris" and "Stop the Coup" as you walk down the High Street.

They have come up against some opposition from other members of the public, with some booing, chanting "England" and saying to "get rid of the foreigners".

KLFM spoke to Jo Rust who is taking part in #stopthecoup:

"I'm a democrat and while I strongly want to remain a part of the EU and reform from within, most people in our area voted to leave, but to leave with no deal would be catastrophic and that is what proroguing parliament will see happening.

"As someone who loves our area I want to see the very best deal for our area and this isn't going to happen now.

"People in North West Norfolk are struggling with basic issues, whether it's getting a doctors appointment, buying school uniform or paying bills.

"Yet these everyday issues are being overlooked and ignored while Brexit is the focus.

"Parliament has done very little for the last 3 years and now shutting down parliament means even less is going to happen.

"This is undemocratic and stops those elected to speak up for us in the House not being able to do so.

"We want this coup to stop and parliament to be able to debate the deal and come up with the best for the people."
