Multiple fundraisers have been set up to try and repair this historical church.

Fire ripped through St Mary's in Wimbotsham on Wednesday morning (4th September).

Norfolk Fire crews worked hard at the scene for most of the day but a lot of damage was caused.

KLFM spoke to a few of the residents at the scene.

One said it's a real shame:

"It's got a lot of historical importance as well because this is such a stable community and has been for hundreds of years and in a village like this, the church has been here almost longer than the village and it's one of the oldest building here.

I just hope it'll be restored and quickly."

Naomi has lived in the village for 12 years:

"It's devastating to everybody in the community.

My Granddad was buried here and obviously a few older family friends buried here so it means a lot to us."

Several Just Giving pages have been set up to raise money for repairs of the church.
