Welcome back to King's Lynn High Street!

Sue Ryder is officially up and running again on King's Lynn High Street!

It's a bitter sweet day for those working there, as they remember the fire that took their original store in October last year.

It hasn't stopped their customers popping back in seeking out a bargain though.

Sue Ryder reopens 3

It was lovely to see so many people in the shop as we scoped out the shop this morning.

KLFM spoke to Jo, the Area Manager for Sue Ryder. She said they've gained something positive from something so devastating:

"We've been waiting so long, we've been desperately trying to find a new shop since it burned down in October and this is now nearly four times as big so we can offer so much more and raise so much more for Sue Ryder's neurological and palliative care.

"The shop manager Jodie, she's back in her own shop raring to go so we've benefited from a bit of a tragedy as well so we've turned it round.

"We just turn every negative into a positive. Looking around now we can see lots of our old customers, they've been waiting patiently for our return so hopefully we'll just go on and carry on and get bigger and better."

The Sue Ryder charity supports people who are living with a terminal illness, a neurological condition or who have lost a loved one.

Our nearest hospice to King's Lynn is in Peterborough.

Jo added the work the charity does is "invaluable" and that her and her team are always thinking they could need a charity like Sue Ryder at any point in their lives which is why they're so passionate about the cause.
