Liz Truss is still our MP for South West Norfolk.

It's after she won a 50.9% majority in the 2019 General Election.

That's a massive increase of nearly 16% since the 2017 election.

KLFM spoke to her after it was announced that she had held the seat.

What are her priorities for the next term?

"Probably the most important this is that we sort out Norfolk's infrastructure - the poor mobile phone reception, the poor broadband. We need to get full fibre to every home by 2025. That's one of our pledges, and also get the roads in place.

"And finally make sure that we're funding our schools, so they can continue to get better. There's been significant improvements in education in South West Norfolk but I want to continue to fight to make sure our children are getting the best possible education."

She thinks it really important that now the Conservatives have a strong majority they can deliver Brexit:

"I think the results across the country show really strong backing for Boris Johnson, getting Brexit done and moving on from the three years of indecision that we've had

"I'm first of all a democrat and I think people were getting very frustrated that something they voted for three years ago hadn't happened and I think it's really important we deliver it.

"We will leave on the 31st of January."

Finally she wants to stress that she is there to represent the full constituency whether you voted for her or not:

"As an MP, and I've sought to do this for the past 9 years, my surgery is open to everybody. I will take people's cases up on their behalf with the relevant government departments and I'll continue to do that regardless of how people voted, I'm the MP for the entire constituency."
